Support Handmade Heritage Arts made by asylum seekers at the U.S.-MX border & beyond
Who: Who are Friends of Artisans Beyond Borders? They are all-volunteer advocates for life-affirming creativity. They are keen to extend compassion, friendship, and respect across borders. They are wowed by beauty and grace and committed to social justice. They believe in healthy families and feminist sensibilities. And they bring their own passion and experience to the table to support the artisan's efforts in whatever way they can.
Where: In Tucson, you can find Artisan's Beyond Borders original Heritage Arts at the United Nations Association of Southern Arizona Center when available. On the Net, their work can be found at the artisan's Etsy shop BordandoEsperanza.
How: Artisans Beyond Borders is a non-profit Border Arts Ministry. We count on your donations to the ABB Maker's Fund to support trauma-informed arts and activities for children and adults stranded on the border and also to help provide start-up funds for artisan asylum-seekers in the U.S.
Donations can be received through pay pal on this website, through sales at the artisan's Etsy Shop, or by check mailed to Tucson's "Grace St. Paul's Episcopal" (address below) with "Artisans Beyond Borders" on the message line.
Keep up to date with the Friends newsletter for behind the scenes with Makers and Collectors.
